less than 1 minute read

This novelette picks up where A Psalm for the Wild-Built leaves off, and it’s an equally quick and satisfying read.

Crown-Shy is a worthy successor to Wild-Built. Both books are filled with meaningful conversations and imagery, set in a post-apocalyptic (for large values of apocalypse) world that—for a refreshing change—shows humans after they do the right things to recover.

I can’t remember the last time I read books I enjoyed as much as these. According to the solarpunk Wikipedia page, Chambers agreed to write two books for Tor Books, but I hope she fell as deeply in love with the world as the rest of us did and can’t help but explore it in more books and stories.
