Around 8:30am PST today my network suffered something that we in the business describe with the technical term “blip.” The cable modem and router recovered quite nicely. The wireless bridge, not so well. Which unfortunately was how the server was connected to the router. Hence, the server fell off the net for the day. For those of us who use it to fulfill our daily musical needs, this was a very unfortunate event.
As you can see, that problem is solved now. Hopefully for good, as the liberation of a length of cat5 from the machine room at work has allowed the wireless bridge to be removed from the equation.
Yes, I know that you all care very much about these details. But now you have them anyway.
