Fare thee well, little car

We’ve had a good run, my little car and I. But after an unfortunate run-in on I-80 my insurance company has decreed that it’s not worth their money to reattach my bumper and has deemed my car a “total loss.”

This saddens me. After 216K miles it’s a shame to have to let my car go. It’s still purring like a kitten. Except now it’s a very ugly kitten with a smooshed face and bashed up shoulders.

*sigh* Ah, well. All good things must come to an end, or so they say. Watch this space in the next few weeks for the announcement of the acquisition of the next car I get to put through the wringer.
