Leaving on a jet plane…

…don’t know when I’ll be back again.

OK, false on two counts:

1. We’re not leaving on a jet plane but rather in a Mazda 3 hatchback
2. We do in fact know when we intend to be back. It will be on Friday, August 25th.

Where are we going and who, exactly, are the “we” in question here?

“We” are my friends Bekkos, Nicole and I. The place we are going is the Mendocino National Forest. We’ll be backpacking for a week, completely unplugged from the rest of the world. No cellphones, no email, no blog. I figure the withdrawal shakes can’t last more than two, three days tops.

So have a good week, ya’ll. Hopefully I’ll have good pictures and stories when we return.
