My social life has officially gotten out of control. Despite the fact that I have a great deal of stuff to do for work and the condition of my apartment is starting to spiral down towards “cess pool” I seem incapable of staying at home in the evening of late. Here’s what I’ve been doing since last Monday and my plans through a week from this upcoming Sunday:
- Monday: gym followed by Battlestar Galactica with Stacy and Ken
- Tuesday: dinner with the Hudson-Clifford clan
- Wednesday: Zanshin cocktails at Boca
- Thursday: Fifth Floor
- Friday: spent sitting on my couch getting work done on my laptop and watching Veronica Mars
- Saturday: Dinner at Ruen Pair with the Fletchers followed by a concert of Five Cent Coffee and Friends
- Sunday: Dinner at Le Cheval followed by Brian Wilson at the Paramount
- Tonight: gym followed by Battlestar Galactica with Stacy and Ken
- Tomorrow: Tim Reynolds at the Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley (and probably dinner beforehand)
- Wednesday through Friday: stay at home and work, hopefully after hitting the gym
- Saturday: Maybe see The House Jacks at the Freight and Salvage
- Sunday through Sunday: Out of town to help the Albertellis move from MI to CA
That’s a lot of late nights. Plus, of course, that I work from 7am to 4pm (or later) and usually am up around 5:30 or 5:45 in the morning. I’ve no one to blame but myself for the fact that I’m completely zombified most of the time. And I’m not complaining, really. It just surprises me that I’ve managed to pile so much up on so many successive days. Despite the good run I’ve got going, I’m going to try to avoid scheduling anything for those three free evenings this weekend. If only for the sake of the poor cat, who’s become justifiably clingy in the few conscious moments I spend at home.
Note that there are a number of post-worthy items in the list above (Fifth Floor, two concerts at the least). If I get the time I’ll do write-ups on them. But as you can probably tell, time is in rather short supply around here right now so please don’t hold your breath.
