There’s magic! And dimension hopping! And a talking dog!
Both Henderson and North are justifiably well-respected in their areas of expertise, and their collaborations continue to please.
After the heavy Grace of Kings, this graphic novel was a welcome change. It’s lighthearted and sincere, but doesn’t avoid the complexities that come with being a human (and dog) who must interact with other humans.
This was a quick read, but I rather wish it hadn’t been. It would’ve been fun to join the team for a more extended adventure. Who knows, maybe they’ll be back for another volume later.
