Today I drove down to the Google campus in Mountain View to attend the first ever MySQL Camp. I don’t have the time to attend more than two sessions today, but so far it’s still been worth the trip. I’ve heard a lot of interesting things about clustering, high availability solutions and backup and recovery. And, if nothing else, I got to come see how the other half lives at Google.

For instance, at Google all the toilets include built-in bidets and the seats are heated.

Google has a pool.

Comfy chairs abound here. And the wireless fails to suck.

They have a laundromat.

*sigh* Yes, I like working where I do, but seeing things like this certainly can tempt a gal. Good thing it’s in the South Bay. There’s no chance of me wanting to move here.
