Part of the grand plan I have for my home office is to make it more project-worthy. Buy a sewing machine[*], buy a table in which to hide it, use the table for the many non-sewing projects in which I engage. Beading, art stuff, soldering, blah blah blah. The table has to have good storage options (drawers) for corralling the materials for said projects. The idea? Brilliant! The execution? Um, not so much.

Problem #1: Sewing tables do not fit into my Mazda3 hatchback.
Problem #2: I won’t inconvenience a large car-/truck-owning friend to get the table.
Problem #3: I’m not willing to go rent a truck.

Uh huh. Right. It appears I’m looking for a mythical object: the teleporting table.

Fret not! Thanks to the beauty which is craigslist not only have I located a near-perfect table BUT it’s at a reasonable price AND the soon-to-be-ex-owner will DELIVER IT straight to my door. I repeat…

Brilliant!

Now all I need to do is clear some space in the office (easier said than done) and buy a sewing machine and my office will finally become a functional space in my house.

[*] No, I don’t have a specific need for the sewing machine. I just keep coming across things which would be easier to do with one than without.
