Lack of copy editing. Missing images. Yes, this is definitely a self-published work.

Despite the lack of fit and finish, the content itself is rock solid. Blodget knows his stuff and is eager to share it.

The book also fulfills the promise of the subtitle. It progresses reasonably from beginner topics to much more advanced ones. I didn’t learn a ton from the beginner stuff (but I did learn stuff here!), but the advanced is going to be valuable. I feel confident that this book will be a good companion and reference when I finally refurbish the pair of vintage machines that are currently sitting in my craft room. I may even tackle the bobbin clutch problem that my main machine has been having.
