less than 1 minute read

It was a decent enough read, as reads go. Entertaining, diverting, etc. However, it was also pretty formulaic. Much of the latter half of the book was loudly telegraphed by events of the first half.

Still, the world Okosun built is good. I kinda wish she’d gone into that more instead of spending so much time on the too-obvious intercharacter stuff. Maybe she’ll do that in the second-of-two books? My suspicion is that she won’t, as the next one will include even more politics. I’ll probably pick it up when the library gets it, but I won’t be in a big rush to be first in the hold queue.
